SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY
Family time at the Y is about giving families as a unit, and as individuals, the opportunities to deepen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community. The Y has always been a place where families can play and be active together, and that’s more important than ever. Whether the activities are physical like sports or exercise classes, or more recreational like swimming, camping, cooking and arts, we want families doing them together because you’ll live healthier and make memories for a lifetime.
Friday Fun Nights

The Y offers a place to come together and have a good time as a family. We encourage families to participate in a variety of fun activities at the Y, share, communicate and strengthen their relationships, and meet other families. Activities include mixers, pool games, arts and crafts, family fitness, games, volunteer opportunities and more.

Annual COLOR RUN 2019 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Color Run is a 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run Fundraiser including family friendly activities, explosions of crazy colors at every corner, and an amazing opportunity to better our community. The purpose is to provide access to more people in the community for YMCA programs and services they need, to better improve lives. The proceeds of this event will go solely to our YMCA’s Annual Campaign, allowing the Y to make sure their doors are open to all. Together, we can create a better us.
JOIN US IN GIVING BACK
Togetherhood invites Y members to activate their social responsibility by participating in the Y’s cause to strengthen community. Togetherhood provides Y members with fun, convenient and rewarding ways to give back and support their neighbors.
The program is run through individual Y branches as a partnership between a committee of members and a Y Staff Advisor. Committee members will plan community projects with other amazing community organizations throughout the year and will help recruit volunteers to do those hands-on projects. Examples of projects could include serving meals to the homeless, organizing clothes for children in need, or planting plants in a community garden.
It is designed to be a simple, fun and rewarding way for members to identify ways that they can give back and support their neighbors through their own ideas, skills and energy, and the network of the Y.
Get involved! We need committee members to help plan projects as well as one-time volunteers to give just a few hours of their time at a specific volunteer event or project.

THE UNITED STATES OF US
Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of inclusive communities that fully embrace New Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. Created by YMCA of the USA’s (Y-USA) national partner Welcoming America, Welcoming Week brings together immigrants and U.S.-born residents to promote cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone. This is the first year our Y will be participating in Welcoming Week! We will be holding initiatives throughout the week to increase awareness, including our Welcoming Day Festival.
Welcoming Day Festival on Friday, September 20th from 5:30-7:30pm.
