ADD WATER FOR BETTER HEALTH
Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and a challenging sport. Our Aquatics Department includes our Competitive Racers Swim Team, swimming lessons for all ages (private & group), an adaptive swim programs for kids with special needs within Nash-Rocky Mount Public School System, adult water fitness classes, lifeguard training, recreation & competition Pools for open swim, a spa and sauna. Youth aquatic programs are nationally recognized for providing a well-rounded enriching approach to the development of a healthy spirit, mind and body.

It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.The Harrison Family YMCA is the largest childcare provider in Nash and Edgecombe counties. Our five star licensed childcare can handle your child with care, while teaching them the characteristics that will grow them individually.There is no doubt your child is in good hands with our well trained staff. Teen After School Academy
DEVELOPING THEIR FUTURE
The Y provides the academic support needed to help students achieve their full potential. Each day is filled with educational activities that also incorporate health education, games, team building, homework support, and leadership training.
Ages: 13 and up
Monthly Fees: $190/month Y Members or $200/month Non-Members | Financial Assistance Available
We also accept Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood, which is a reduced fee assistance program for active duty or deployed Service Members that are unable to obtain child care on a Military installation.

As part of the Y's commitment to strengthen the community by nurturing the potential of youth, our day camp programs offer an exciting and unique experience that give children and teens the opportunity to discover their full potential, expand socially, create lasting memories, all while becoming part of a community.
Sports and Recreation
BUILDING SKILLS AND DEVELOPING CHARACTER
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ will carry with them throughout their lives. The benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to build the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out. We offer seasonal youth sports including basketball, flag football and soccer. Our year round youth programs include gymnastics, karate and home school physical education. Register for one of our programs and watch your child grow.

Our classes are free with all memberships. The Y offers a myriad of classes for all walks of life and levels of fitness. From Yoga to Kettlebell, Step Interval to Cycling, Zumba to Insanity, Family Fitness to Senior Fitness...we have it all! If you are looking for someone to push you, we can do that too.

At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.
ACTIVE LIVES FOR OLDER ADULTS
At the Y, we are committed to providing health and wellness opportunities to everyone, at every stage of life. We offers water fitness classes tailored to older adults, Silver Sneakers and Silver & Fit membership options through your insurance carrier, senior group fitness classes, volunteer opportunities, and social events. Our programs are designed for older adults and promote fitness and well-being while fostering friendships and connection. Our volunteer opportunities also help build lasting relationships, community ties and provide an environment for giving back and making an impact.

The Outreach Department serves many purposes for the community and members of the Y. This department houses family or special events offered throughout the year, family programs including adventure guides, community classes, partnerships, collaborations and more.
