For 115 years, the Harrison Family YMCA has been a cornerstone of our community. Since opening our doors in 1911, we’ve been more than just a place to gather — we’ve been a place to grow. In our early years, the Y provided meals, shelter, and support to railroad employees, addressing the immediate needs of our neighbors. As the decades passed, we expanded to meet the evolving needs of our community: offering school enrichment programs, summer camps, swim lessons, gymnastics, competitive sports, and adaptive swim programs for children and adults alike.
From providing safe after-school and summer programming to creating opportunities for families to be active together and supporting individuals in their health and wellness journeys, the Y has continually evolved while staying true to its mission. Every generation has found a place here to belong, learn, and thrive — and it is your generosity that makes this possible.
